Windrunner Quilt Curtain

At the intersection of culture and craft is a quilt I designed for Niketown in New York City. The quilt design narrates the story of Nike's Windrunner Jacket. Crafted primarily from deconstructed (then re-constructed) Windrunner jackets, the basis of the pattern is the jacket's signature 26-degree chevron. The piece is finished in Windrunner materials, including grommets for suspension. With colors inspired by the coinciding 2008 summer Olympics the vibrant quilt echoes the many and varied cultures which continue to embrace the iconic garment. The quilt curtain is hanging in the Windrunner room at Niketown in New York City. For a larger view, see the about page.
