Sara's work spans mediums and scales but is rooted in culture, craft and materiality. Her foray into design was in architecture school at the University of Oregon. She practiced in interiors and graphics before attending grad school at Art Center College of Design. Sara's architectural projects are centered on storytelling for spaces, resulting in interior places, public art installations or cultural/strategic studies. In addition to architectural projects, Sara owns and operates Salvage, a surface design studio specializing in new and vintage offerings. Her original print designs have been acquired by Steven Alan, Vans, Estee Lauder and others. Sara also is an adjunct prof, graphic design in Portland.
