Sara's work spans mediums and scales and is rooted in culture, craft and materiality. Her foray into design was in architecture school at the University of Oregon. Sara gained her MFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Her architectural projects are centered on storytelling for spaces, resulting in interior places, public art installations and cultural programming studies. In addition to architectural projects, Sara owns and operates a surface design studio specializing in new and vintage offerings. Her original print designs have been acquired by Steven Alan, Vans, Estee Lauder, Godiva Chocolatier and others. In addition to her architectural and fashion projects, Sara teaches design at Portland State University. She is available for contract and commission projects.
